dacops has produced a photo book documenting the Japan Post system, a black book for drawing hand bound by Katz Bindery in Brooklyn and an online magazine called dopemoves documenting the social scene in NYC during the early 2000s, but the idea of producing a magazine has always been a fleeting desire.
now, just about anyone can start their own and has as we see with the flooding of magazines populating our everyday consumer experience. but not until we attended the NYC Book fair this fall did dac operations realize that there were other people out there too who had the desire to make magazines the way we wanted to, and they were actually doing it.  and they called them ZINES.
so, finally, dacops will be producing our first ZINE called artfag. it will be a bare bones minimal zine in the vein of the first giant robot issues utilizing xerogaphy and hand made book binding techniques.
each issue will be creating with a certain inspiration as a theme.  the first 3 are currently under production.  each zine will offer a different logo and cover page along with theme and binding technique.
